PTFE coated
NonStickTM electrodes feature a high-quality polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating that enables surgeons to use lower power settings with superior efficiency in cutting and coagulation with lower tissue adhesion. This reduces carbonised material (eschar) build-up during surgical procedures. Reduced thermal spread results in less thermal injury to surrounding tissues and less collateral tissue necrosis, improving healing and scarring processes.

Overview
Eschar adhesion during electrosurgery procedures creates resistance on the electrosurgery current passing through the electrode, requiring higher output settings which can then cause damage to the peripheral tissue and result in a greater risk of thermal injury and surface scarring. Prima Medical’s NonSticktm electrodes are designed to eliminate this, by application of our high-quality PTFE electrode coatings, allowing the surgeon to focus the energy more precisely on the target tissue, thus improving aesthetic results & making surgical time more productive.

Non-stick
NonStickTM electrodes drastically reduce tissue adhesion and build-up of eschar – no scratch pad required, as the eschar is very easily removed with a damp sponge. This feature leads to less and shorter surgical interruptions, saving valuable time on OR.
